Michael to receive Lifetime Achievement Grammy.

December 11, 2009 — Grammy organizers announced today (December 11) that a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Grammy will be awarded to Michael Jackson. The King of Pop, known widely as the best entertainer in the business, will be acknowledged in a private ceremony one day prior to the prime time Grammy award ceremony airing January 31, 2010.
With the untimely death of Michael Jackson, a lot of attention has been paid to the contribution this celebrity brought to the music and entertainment business. Earning an amazing world record, yet to be broken by anyone else, Thriller’ by Michael Jackson is the highest-selling album of all time.
Michael Jackson isn’t the only individual receiving this award. Additionally six talented artists to be Lifetime Achievement Grammy recipients are Loretta Lynn, Leonard Cohen, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Andre Previn, Clark Terry, and Bobby Darin.
